Nayantra to Romance Salman Khan
Nayantara had always maintained that she is not interested in making a Bollywood debut.
The actress, who has made a mark in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu film industries, is happy with the way her career is going in the South Indian film industry and didn't ever show any interest in jumping on the Bollywood bandwagon.
However, it seems times have changed. With what we hear, Nayan will very soon be seen in a sequel to a Bollywood blockbuster. Buzz is that Salman Khan, who rocked the box office with the Hindi remake of Pokkiri, is high on making a sequel to the film.
The plans of Wanted 2 were already announced by Salman and director Prabhu Deva after the first installment became a huge success. However, Prabhu got busy with his assignments down South, while Salman had Dabangg, Ready and Bodyguard.
But now, Salman is keen on kick-starting Wanted 2 once his ongoing projects end. Most interesting part is that Prabhu Deva is mulling over introducing his lady love in Bollywood with the sequel.
The news comes as a surprise as there have been reports about Nayan planning to quit acting post her marriage to Prabhu. However, as per the latest buzz it seems Nayan's all set to join her contemporaries like Trisha, Asin, Ileana and Kajal who have worked or signed Hindi films.

But not only was Kangna not invited for Sallu's welltouted 'Being Human' show last Saturday, but the superstar has put his home production with her in the female lead on hold indefinitely. The film is a Hindi remake of Manjrekar's Marathi film Mee Shivajiraje Bhosle Boltoy.
The only consolation for Ranaut is that she remains a part of the film, at least for now. "The script is undergoing some changes. Moreover, a few other members of the cast have also been changed. Salman himself is supervising the details," says the source.
A n o t h e r reason why Manjrekar's film co-starring Ranaut is not Salman's first priority at present is that Salman is going to be very busy with the TV show Bigg Boss 4 and two films, Kick and Bodyguard. "Both Kick and Bodyguard are very big films and Salman is not going to let his fans down," said the source.
What makes this doubly awkward for Kangna is the buzz that Sonakshi Sinha might replace her in this film.
When contacted, Manjrekar did not confirm that Ranaut stars in his film for Salman. He simply said, "At the moment, I am not in Mumbai. Dekhte hain kab shuru karenge meri film. Why can't it be that Kangna stars in the film? It's not Sonakshi, but then, at the end of the day, it is up to Salman to decide and divulge."
We know for a fact that Kangna has not even been informed of this delay. But our source was quite clear that Sallu's next with her in on the backburner. A close friend of Kangna's said, "She really does not wish to comment on any of this."

Salman plays godfather to new music director Sumit Dutt..
Salman Khan has this penchant of eyeing talent and then giving the person a break. The latest on the star's list of favourites is visuals expert Sumit Dutt. Ever since he directed Sallu in Dhinka Chicka and Character Dheela tracks in Ready, the star has been insisting that Sumit direct the songs in his movies. Sallu took him on board for his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri's earlier film Hello. Sumit directed the title track of the movie. Now for Agnihotri's next Bodyguard, Sumit has directed the Desi Beats song.

Also, Salman would start Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick only at the beginning of next year. For now, he would focus on Ek Tha Tiger.

Shahrukh, Salman come together for Preity

The reason is clear. Right now, the actor is so busy shooting for other films that he is leaving the scripting and brainstorming of 'Dabangg 2' to Arbaaz Khan and his team. We are told that Dabangg 2 is still in its scripting stages and the physical presence of Salman is unwarranted. "Whenever there's an idea, it's always best to pick up the phone and talk to bhai," we are told, "He is shooting and not always in the city."
Of course, Dabanng and its sequel is very close to Salman's heart, so much so that there were talks that the actor himself was scripting Dabangg 2. However Salman clarified that he isn't writing the script of the sequel and will only act in it! It has already been reported that American singer Lady Gaga is visiting India in October. Latest buzz is that Bollywood actor Salman Khan is likely to be her bodyguard and even host a party for the Bad Romance star. Salman's niece Alizeh, who is the younger daughter of his sister Alvira and Atul Agnihotri, is a big fan of the popstar and has requested her uncle to host a party for her.
Salman Khan is known to do anything for his family’s happiness. Now, everyone in his family is pretty convinced that he will make it happen when 14-year-old Alizeh requested him. Salman Khan to promote eco friendly Ganesh
Actor Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, belongs to a generation of writers who staunchly believed in the twin ideals of secularism and socialism. Saahir Ludhiyaanvi, Kaifi Azmi, Mazrooh Sultanpuri, Javed Akhtar and Salim Khan can claim to be a part of a group of writers and lyricists who attempted to give a leftward turn to our society’s social credentials. No wonders then that Salim Khan’s son, Salman, strictly follows the ideal of secularism.
It’s a tradition in Salman’s house to bring home a Ganesh idol during the yearly ganapati festival. However, the actor makes sure that the idol is eco friendly and does not cause any harm to the environment when the festival ends. And this year, Salman has also decided to promote the environmental cause through the Being Human clothing line. T-shirts bearing the logo of ‘Being Human’ have become highly popular among youngsters and Salman believes that the popularity of the merchandise can be utilised to persuade people to go green this year.
Apart from that, he also plans to promote the environmental cause every time he addresses public during the promotional drive for his latest flick, ‘Bodyguard’.
Salman not hospitalised: Spokesperson
The grapevine was abuzz Thursday night with rumours that the 45-year-old had been admitted to Saifee Hospital here.
“This is completely false news. He (Salman) has not been admitted to the hospital,” an associate of the star told IANS.
"I was with him till about 10.30 at night, and he was completely fine. He was hale and hearty, and was busy promoting the film by doing some interviews. He was in a very good mood," added a source from the unit of his forthcoming release Bodyguard.
Representatives from Saifee Hospital too denied the news.
Bodyguard, starring Salman and Kareena Kapoor, will release on August 31.
I am not writing 'Dabangg 2': Salman Khan
Lots of speculation going on when it comes to Salman Khan's subsequent movies, after 'Bodyguard'. Since the actor doesn't interact with media persons, except while promoting his movies during the time of release, the media keeps coming up with stories pertaining to the new films he has signed. But the truth is something else.
Once Salman is through with the promotions of 'Bodyguard', the actor will embark on the shoot of Yash Raj's 'Ek Tha Tiger', which will be followed by 'Sher Khan'(Sohail Khan), 'Dabangg 2' (Arbaaz Khan) and 'Kick' (Sajid Nadiadwala - Shirish Kunder). These are the only films that Salman has green-lit, as of now.
Meanwhile, there's talk that Salman is writing the screenplay of 'Dabangg 2'. But, again, the truth is something else. “Arbaaz has penned it himself and it's a mind-blowing script,” said Salman.
Salman Khan to host show on History channel
Whoever said that History was boring are soon going to be eating their words as none other than Salman Khan will soon be seen as the host on the popular channel History.
Salman will be seen in a whole new avatar on a show with a new wardrobe, styled by his sister Alvira Agnihotri and designer Ashley Rebello. The channel has signed him on as his popularity cuts across all ages and gender.
The content of the show remains unknown but it'll be dealing with factual entertainment.
Is Salman Khan's playback in BODYGUARD revisit of READY song?
Dhinka Chika of READY returns in a new packaged version in BODYGUARD as the title song which has been sung by Salman Khan himself. Salman Khan seems to be inspired from the cult status that Dhinka Chika achieved in READY, and seems to be trying to address his fans by harking back to the famous jives from READY. After all, it is Pritam again who is giving the music, and also included in the team of music composition is Salman Khan's one time protege, to a turn coat and now coming back to Salman Khan's fold again, Himesh Reshammiya.
It seems that Salman Khan has forgiven Himesh for the betrayal that Himesh Reshammiya had done against Salman Khan. One is reminded of one of the shows of Antakshari where Salman Khan and Himesh Reshamiya had appeared side by side and Salman Khan had not left an opportunity to pull the legs of Himesh Reshammiya.
May be, as BODYGUARD shooting started alongside release of READY Salman Khan may have tried to encash upon the popularity of Dhinka Chika. But it has probably happened for the first time that one is inspired from the music of a film which has been released few months ago. May be, Salman Khan could have the belief that he has a process patent over the song, and therefore it has been included by him in BODYGUARD as well!
Whatever is the case, Salman Khan has again underlined the premise that his films should have songs that should capture the imagination of the nation, and it indeed is an integral part of his acting life, highlight of his acting career so to say. It caught on as a trend after MAINE PYAAR KIYA and continues to prosper with BODYGUARD as well. Salman Khan is one of the rare few stars whose film like KHAMOSHI crashed at box office but its songs still are one of the most successful songs.
BODYGUARD would have the unique distinction of being the first film where Salman Khan has given music direction, the song being Teri Meri Prem Kahani, which would appear along with credit in the end. It needs to be emphasized however that in his maiden endeavor Salman Khan got ample help from his protege Himesh Reshammiya, and one only hopes that the song would glue the audience to the seat to watch it in full, after all, in the song Kareena is appearing in orange sari. Sounds familiar! 3 IDIOTS, and an inspiration from a successful film perhaps.

Salman Khan is one actor who surely knows how to win hearts, specially that of a kid.
Apparently, the Dabangg star, while shooting for Bodyguard had a young kid waiting for him for eight long hours with a special request.
The kid's innocent wish was that Salman should act like his bodyguard while he takes him on a bike ride, wherein the bike was actually a toy bike that runs on battery.
The kid waited for hours and ultimately managed to meet the star and expressed his wish.
Close sources from the sets revealed that the little kid learned that Salman was shooting for a film in the vicinity and thus came on his bike along with his parents to meet his favourite actor. This was not all, the child who hopped around the sets just wouldn't leave without meeting Salman and get his wish fulfilled.
The kid waited for patiently without giving up on hope. Salman was already shooting an action scene for Bodyguard and was absorbed in his character. Learning about the long wait by this young fan, he took a break after his shot and rushed to visit the kid.
Salman a.k.a Lovely Singh in Bodyguard, fell in love with the boy's innocence and determination to meet him. He immediately agreed to play his Bodyguard and take him on a ride despite of his busy shoot schedule.
This probably was the happiest moment for the child and as far as Salman is concerned he went back to shooting for his year's big Eid release Bodyguard.
